Let’s meet your Hog Roast Chacewater Catering Manager Paul

Delightful Paul is the catering manager of Hog Roast Chacewater, he has been hog roasting for nearly a decade with a passion for great food and delivery. The most fascinating thing about Paul is that he and his family run a pig, cow, and lamb farm so on an event you will be receiving tender meat that has been traditionally reared by Paul himself! By running this farm, Paul became passionate about pit meat, this is where the meat is roasted over a charcoal fire giving it a unique flavour! Something to look forward to and get excited about when you book Hog Roast Chacewater! Paul’s family is also involved in Hog Roast Chacewater with his son being a qualified chef, you know that you’re in capable hands when it comes to your event!

Let’s find out about Paul’s experience with Hog Roast Chacewater

Where has been your favourite venue so far?

“I did a wedding at a holiday park near Hayle in Cornwall. I was cooking under a stretch marque which pointed out on the North Coast, stunning views and backdrop!”

If you were a customer, which menu would you choose?

“I love a good Hog Roast but the Southern Slow Roast is my winner, especially with the Mac and cheese!”

The Southern Slow Roast allows Paul to use his farm meat with scrumptious and flavourful BBQ and Southern-inspired rubs which he marinates for hours before slowly pit cooking it to infuse the flavours even more making the meats mouth-watering delicious!

Have you had any unusual requests from customers?

“The most unusual request I tend to receive is can I carve the ears or trotters off as guests want to try them”

What has been the funniest moment on an event?

“The funniest moment for me is when I lifted the pig up for the guests to see before I started carving and someone came and asked me what was for dinner, in which I responded a hog roast looking at the pig in front of us both, she responded with what meat is a hog roast in which I replied pork and thankfully she answered that she liked pork and walked off.”

Even with the pigs head and body still intact as Hog Roast Chacewater likes to ensure you get a theatrical experience by strategically carving the meat so that it still looks like a pig, people still say “Can I have some of that chicken”!

The delightful Paul and his team are looking forward to serving you this summer, enquire now to experience superb food and super service!
