On the 6th of September, Catering Manager Paul and the team at Hog Roast Truro were delighted to provide our Alfresco Menu for a wedding reception at Tregony Sports Club, Truro. With 100 guests on the invite list, the couple worked with Paul in the months before to create the perfect menu. Catering manager Paul and his team arrived at the venue hours before the 3.30pm event start time, so that everything was prepared in good time.
The couple asked us to serve the guests at their seats as a formal sit-down meal. To begin the feast, we served antipasti platters on rustic boards. Each one featured a selection of fine Italian meats paired with luxury cheeses.
And for the main meal, our whole roasted free-range pig took centre stage, and got a ‘WOW’ from guests. It was served with homemade sage and onion stuffing, crackling, and apple sauce. Not forgetting a variety of accompaniments, including buffalo mozzarella salad, gourmet coleslaw, and roasted new potatoes.
Rest assured, Hog Roast Truro take specialist diets into account too. For vegans and vegetarians, we served grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers (with a vegan alternative), served alongside wraps. Our desserts are always the highlight of the event and for very good reason. Guests helped themselves to the buffet of 
profiteroles and cheesecake, both served with a helping of cream. Delicious!
