After catering for so many weddings over the years, one thing has become crystal clear to us: no two are ever alike. That’s why we love working with couples like Lauren and Dean, who are after something a little more personalised – in this case choosing to swap tradition for something a little more relaxed when they tied the knot on the 18th of July. With 80 of their nearest and dearest, glorious sunshine overhead and a laid-back atmosphere from start to finish, a gourmet BBQ was the perfect choice.
Now, don’t let the word “BBQ” fool you. This wasn’t a case of throwing a few burgers on the grill and calling it a day. Our chefs are passionate about barbecue cooking, taking classic favourites and giving them the Hog Roast Torpoint treatment to create something guests will remember long after the last dance.
And when I tell you this menu had everyone covered, I’m not kidding. There were juicy British beef burgers handmade from scratch using the finest meat, sizzling sausages, flavour-packed Thai chicken kebabs and our incredibly tender slow-roasted pulled pork, all served with optional melted cheese and fried onions for anyone wanting to take things up a notch. The vegetarian guests 
were just as well looked after with veggie burgers and grilled vegetable kebabs, which could be paired with halloumi, fluffy flatbreads and cooling tzatziki for an extra burst of flavour.
Of course, no Hog Roast Torpoint BBQ is complete without a table full of irresistible sides – crisp seasonal green leaf salad, homemade coleslaw and fresh pasta salad brought a lighter touch, while mixed sweet potato and classic fries disappeared almost as quickly as they were served. The real crowd-pleaser, though, had to be the rich, creamy mac and cheese, with plenty of guests happily returning for one helping after another.
The result? Happy guests, delighted newlyweds and another fantastic wedding that perfectly reflected the couple at the heart of it all. Whether you’re dreaming of a formal feast or a relaxed garden BBQ, Hog Roast Torpoint is all about creating a menu that feels just right for your big day.
