Hog Roast Truro couldn’t have asked for a better start to October than visiting our good friends over at The Barn At Pengelly. As our long-time trusted partners, we’re fortunate to work with these guys and gals on a regular basis throughout the year, which means we get to see how stunning this venue looks as the seasons change. And if you thought this place was gorgeous in summer, you should see it when autumn hits.
Copper-coloured trees, low sunshine spilling across the rolling fields and that crispness in the air make for a breathtaking backdrop – and that’s before you’ve even set foot inside. It’s the kind of set-up that makes even us regulars stop and stare. Suddenly those rustic wooden dining tables and romantic fairy lights add a touch of warmth to your celebrations that feels fitting for the season.
And speaking of warmth, Hog Roast Truro brought some serious heat to the wedding celebrations held here on the 3rd of October. The couple made a brilliant choice when they asked us to take care of the food, which not only secured them a properly delicious menu, but also saved them the hassle of updating us and the venue separately. As partners, we work seamlessly together to create
unforgettable experiences for our joint clients, and this one was no exception.
Hours before the scheduled food service, Hog Roast Truro pitched up on site, and since we know the place like our own office by now, we didn’t need any help from the venue team finding the prime spot to set up our gear. Before long, a trio of pre-marinated meats was roasting on the grill, forming the heart of our Southern Slow Roast Menu. While those sizzled and spat, we got busy preparing an equally tasty meat-free option, a run of irresistible sides and three sensational sauces for guests to help themselves to.
It didn’t take long for the dining room to start buzzing and before we knew it, guests were loading up their plates, finding their seats and getting stuck in – and it’s fair to say they loved every mouthful. By the end, barely a crumb was left on Hog Roast Truro’s serving tables, which is about the best review a caterer can hope for.
