It has been a relief for many parents to see their children going safely back to school. Hog Roast Fowey’s latest event was a rather unusual party, the group of delighted Mum’s wanted to have a party to celebrate their newfound freedom at having their kids back in the classroom. The client wanted a 100% luxurious buffet for the Mum’s to enjoy as they felt that after having had their kid’s home since earlier in the year they should be allowed to treat themselves to a nice lunch at least, so they turned to Hog Roast Fowey to provide exactly that.
The team liaised closely with the client to put together a bespoke menu for the buffet that would delight all 10 guests. For this event, they didn’t want the usual catering package that included a professional Catering Manager to stay at the venue and cook the food fresh for the serving time. As the lucky ladies were going to be having a spa day in the comfort of their friend’s home the client wanted the food prepared off site and delivered to their home all ready to be enjoyed at the 1pm serving time.
The Catering Manager from the Hog Roast Fowey team arrived at the team’s kitchen to prepare the delicious buffet many hours before the delivery time. Every single dish was freshly made by the Catering Manager and then packed into the easily transportable foil trays and dishes, so that when the food arrived with the client it could be served and enjoyed instantly.
The buffet included lots of tasty treats, such as Whole Spit Roasted Turkey Served with Fresh Cranberries and Sage & Onion Stuffing. There was also 3 types of salad: Tomato & Basil, Carrot & Orange with Sesame Dressing, Avocado & Cherry Tomato, as well as perfectly prepared and cooked seasonal vegetables. Finishing off the buffet selection was Jacket Potatoes and Roasted New Potatoes in Rosemary and Garlic.
The whole buffet was delivered to the client at just the right time and she and her guests were absolutely delighted with all the food! It was just what they had wanted.
