At the beginning of December, Hog Roast Newquay was contacted by Newperran Holiday Resort to provide catering for their annual Christmas party. Our catering manager Paul was asked to provide catering for 150 guests, including a variety of traditional dishes for the guests to enjoy. after discussing our menu options, it was decided that our festive catering package was perfect for the occasion.
The Hog Roast Newquay team arrived at the venue early on the day to prepare for the 18:00 mealtime. We began by slow-roasting the hog, as well as grilling vegetable and halloumi skewers for a meat-free option. The main dishes were both served with a selection of bread rolls, including a gluten-free option. for the side dishes, we served all of the usual Christmas trimmings- such as cauliflower cheese, seasonal vegetables, pigs in blankets, roasted potatoes and gravy. Overall, this created a delicious meal for the guests to enjoy and provided plenty of variation.
We served this menu buffet style on bamboo crockery and cutlery, creating the ideal level of formality for the evening. It was great to be asked to cater for this annual celebration and it was a lot of fun to begin to get into the festive spirit. Christmas catering is always a firm favourite since providing a good meal is such an important aspect of the event.
