With bonfire night quickly approaching, Hog Roast Widegates is busy preparing for the variety of events that we have been hired to cater for. One event is taking place at a local activity centre, with customers visiting to watch an amazing firework show, use sparklers, gather around a warming bonfire, and enjoy a delicious hog roast. Our classic buffet menu is bound to go down a treat at this event as nothing tastes better in the cold than a delicious hot meal. We have been hired to cater for 250 guests, which means that our team needs to be prepared for a large turnout and have plenty of food available.
Our classic hog-roast menu consists of a slow-roasted hog which is cooked to perfection on the day of the event. By roasting the hog on site, it ensures optimum freshness and flavour with every slice. The pork is served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we are also planning to provide BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is delicious when served in a bread roll. Alongside the mains, the guests will also be able to enjoy homemade chips and seasonal salad dishes to create a varied and delicious evening meal.
