Hog Roast Blisland Is Preparing For A Harry Potter Halloween Party

It feels like only yesterday that we were soaking up the hot sun rays on a garden lounger, with an ice-cool drink in one hand and a book in the other, and now? The trees are stripped almost completely bare of their green foliage, leaving a thick carpet of crunchy orange and brown leaves on the ground below. And with Halloween now less than a fortnight away, we know you’re thinking it too: where has all the time gone?

This year is flying in faster than Harry Potter on a broomstick, and with party season almost upon us, we’re here to remind you that it’s never too early to start planning your events with Hog Roast Blisland. Whether it be Halloween, Bonfire Night, Christmas or anything else, we can help you shape an unforgettable experience that you and your guests will remember fondly for many years to come.

Hog Roast Blisland Oh, and speaking of Harry Potter, we’re ecstatic to announce that Hog Roast Blisland’s caterers have been hired to serve our tasty Classic Hog Roast Menu at a Wizarding World themed party this Halloween! The client, Joseph, had reached out to us back in early September with the unique request, and our catering manager, Paul, was eager to help out.

Not one to do anything by half-measures, Joseph has hired out a function hall at a local castle specially for the occasion, and he plans to decorate each one of the tables to match the theme of the Hogwarts houses, which the guests will be sorted into as they arrive by the iconic sorting hat.

With 200+ people to feed, Paul and the Hog Roast Blisland team plan to arrive at the hall around five hours before the event begins. This will give them more than enough time to prepare the free-range pig, which is to be scored, doused in water and rubbed with salt before being spit-roasted over real flames for several hours and then served in gluten-free buns with our delicious homemade sage and onion stuffing, applesauce and crispy crackling. Salad options, a potato side and a vegan alternative will also be available for the guests to indulge in.
