Hosting any kind of special occasion can be fairly stressful but with our professionals, it doesn’t need to be.
Over the years, we’ve catered many weddings, both in Cornwall and further afield. While no wedding reception is alike, the one thing the ones we have catered all have in common is our delicious food! For a wedding meal at Pencarrow House in Bodmin, we were asked to cook our Menu 2 of a hog roast for a hundred guests, with some slight changes. We are highly flexible when it comes to our menus, as we believe that variety and choice are both key to catering and that our customers shouldn’t have to settle for something they may not want. You can easily mix and match items between our menus or create your own tailored menu if you like.
For this wedding, we would be serving a sumptuous centrepiece hog with our own apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing, as well as plenty of crispy crackling carved straight off the pig. While we can provide homemade canapés and a drinks reception with this particular menu, the happy couple didn’t require either from us, but did ask for some of our scrumptious desserts to finish off the meal beautifully.
The gorgeous Pencarrow House is a Grade 2 listed country house just three miles from Bodmin, so local to us. Our Hog Roast Bodmin Catering Manager Charlie and his team arrived several hours before service, to start preparing the fresh, locally-sourced meat and then set it cooking. From 6pm onwards, it was finally time for Hog Roast Bodmin to serve some fantastic food to some hungry guests, and in such a wonderful location.
