Nobody wakes up one morning with a fully formed vision of their dream wedding in mind. It creeps up on you slowly. A bit from your favourite rom-com, a dash of whatever’s trending, a few memories from weddings you’ve loved, until, eventually, you have a whole picture to work with. But once you start piecing that picture together in real life, it’s not uncommon to hit a few snags – especially where the catering is concerned.
Here’s the problem. Most couples want a menu that works for everyone: the veggies, the vegans, the guest with the nut allergy, and the ones that won’t touch anything unless it’s beige. But plenty of caterers haven’t quite caught up. So you’re left choosing between paying extra for a secondary catering team, or quietly hoping your vegetarian cousin is on a bread roll-only diet right now. Neither sounds great, does it?
Good news: there’s a third option – and it doesn’t involve any compromise.
At Hog Roast Truro, we don’t think you should have to pay extra for things that ought to come as standard. We don’t think your guests should go hungry either. That’s why we’ve spent the last three-and-a-bit decades building affordable, flexible menus that suit everyone. Every set menu comes with a delicious meaty main and at least one meat-free alternative, plus room for suitable extras at your request.
Just ask Cassie and Scott. They’d been hunting for the perfect menu for ages, and Hog Roast Truro’s approach was exactly what they’d hoped for. Our catering manager, Rik, got stuck in and pulled together a plan that matched their wedding vision down to the last detail. With 75 guests of mixed ages and dietary needs, everyone agreed our BBQ menu was the way to go. Spoiler: we were right.
On the day, we spent the afternoon preparing three different meats and serving them piping hot off the grill. Alongside those came two meat-free options and plenty of fresh, cooling sides. Every plate was full, every guest was happy and not one person felt left out or forgotten. For Cassie and Scott, that made all the difference.
With the food safely handled, the newlyweds could do the one thing they’d been dreaming of all along: relax, soak it all in and enjoy their day exactly the way they pictured it.
If that sounds like your kind of wedding, get in touch with Hog Roast Truro and let’s talk menus. Your guests (even the fussy ones) will thank you.
