Planning A Wedding Doesn’t Have To Be Stressful – Book With Hog Roast Truro And See For Yourself!

Hog Roast TruroThere’s something about Cornwall that just gets weddings right. Maybe it’s the wild coastline, maybe it’s the sea air or maybe it’s the way even the smallest venues feel like they’ve been plucked from a postcard. Whatever it is, it sets the tone for a day that already feels pretty special – and for Hog Roast Truro, it means no two events ever feel the same.

We’re lucky enough to be part of a lot of those days, and every now and then, a couple comes along with an idea that shakes things up a bit. Our latest newlyweds did exactly that.

After a bit of digging (and reading through a fair few glowing reviews), they got in touch with us at Hog Roast Truro with a clear vision. They loved what we do – but didn’t want the traditional hog roast this time around. Instead, they were after something that would suit a wide mix of tastes while still feeling a little bit indulgent.

We were more than ready to rise to the occasion.

Alistair, our catering manager, worked with them to shape a menu that felt generous without being overcomplicated. The result? A proper feast with something for everyone.

On one side, we served whole-roasted free-range chickens seasoned simply with thyme and sea salt and served up with stuffing and classic chipolatas. On the other, beautifully cooked sirloin of English beef, brushed with mustard and paired with a rich red wine gravy. Yorkshire puddings made an appearance too – because leaving those out would just be wrong.

For guests skipping the meat, there was no afterthought option tucked away in the corner. Hog Roast Truro rustled up our vibrant grilled vegetable kebabs, packed with colour and flavour, plus tzatziki dip, sweet chilli sauce and halloumi for those who wanted it.

Hog Roast TruroThen came the extras. Fresh salads, roasted potatoes, bowls of coleslaw, soft rolls – by the time dessert rolled around, people were already full… but not too full. A split between chocolate torte and individual cheesecakes (with plenty of cream) sealed the deal nicely.

It all came together in that easy, laughter-filled way that the best weddings do. Good food, happy guests and a couple right at the centre of it all, soaking it in.

Honestly, you couldn’t ask for more.
