A wedding had been organised at Tresillian House, St Newlyn in East Cornwall for Michelle and Thomas. Tresillian House is set in 20 acres of grounds with a grade a historic garden and Victorian walled kitchen garden just to mention a few of the beautiful gardens to see. It was a perfect setting for a wedding.
Spitting pig Cornwall were chosen to do the catering that day and Michelle and Thomas had opted for the popular wedding menu 3 for themselves and the guests. This considered of slow roasted pig served with apple sauce, stuffing and crispy crackling. Bread rolls and selection of homemade sauces, chef’s choice of 3 freshly prepared salads and warm new potatoes in herb butter. The price included table service and disposable crockery and napkins. All the dishes were prepared freshly on site by our catering assistants whilst our chef on the day roasted the pig and later carved it. For those who still had room for dessert after such a lovely meal sticky toffee pudding or chocolate profiteroles were the choice.
Everybody seemed to enjoy being able to see the pig slowly roasting and watching the juices dripping off as the pig turned slowly as it cooked. People asked questions about our hog roast machine and were genuinely surprised by how easy it is to hire and use one of our machines themselves. Everybody thought you could only have a hog roast to cook a full pig but after explaining that beef and lamb and other cuts of meat can also be roasted there was talk of our machines being hired for all different kinds of occasions. Christenings, special birthday parties and even a retirement party are just a few of the enquiries we were asked if we at Spitting Pig could cater for. No occasion is too small for us! The food for the wedding of Michelle and Thomas was only one option of many that we at Spitting Pig offer.
Every event that we cater for, the menu can be of your choice. For the more formal occasions we also supply table linen and crockery along with our catering staff to wait tables. We also take care of the clearing up and all our rubbish is taken away so all you have to do is enjoy yourself.
