Scoff Troff Cafe recently asked us to cater a private party and with their company logo being a hog, how could Hog Roast Hayle possibly say no?! St Ives’ Scoff Troff Cafe is just as renowned for delicious food as we are and they have some really enticing options on their ever-changing menu, which is often inspired by the owners’ travels. From baked eggs to a vegan burger, a chilli dog to lasagne, the cafe sources produce locally where possible, which is something else this eatery has in common with Hog Roast Hayle.
For their private party outside in the sunshine at a home venue on Viaduct Hill in Hayle itself, our customers chose a sumptuous hog roast to be enjoyed alongside some of the foods that we feature in our Private Party Menu Option 2 – The Southern Slow Roast Menu. With this particular menu, customers choose four of their favourite accompanying dishes from a list of seven, and our customers selected our Memphis-style crunchy coleslaw, all-American mac and cheese, a Greek salad, and sweet potato wedges. The 35 guests would have plenty to eat, and with the three vegetarian guests able to eat all of the accompanying dishes, everyone would be well-fed by the end of the day.
We have lots of options for any guests who have dietary needs, from vegans to vegetarians or those with a gluten intolerance or allergy. If any of your guests have a different kind of requirement, however, do let us know in advance and we will ensure that they are catered for as well. We love to make sure that everyone enjoys our food, no matter the dietary preference or necessity.
Our Hog Roast Hayle team turned up hours before the meal service in order to prepare and cook the high-quality, locally sourced meat from scratch. Nearer the time of the meal, we freshly prepared the other yummy dishes. The crunchy coleslaw turned out a glorious purple colour and the Greek salad was overflowing with olives and feta cheese. Everything looked and tasted perfect, and once the hog was perfectly roasted too, it was finally time to satiate the guests’ hunger.
