It’s always a privileged to be chosen as the caterers for special events and we were excited to be doing the catering for Julies 50th last weekend. In our eyes there can be no better way to welcome in a new year and celebrate a birthday than with a Hog Roast Bodmin surrounded by friends and family.
Julie had planned a small gathering of around thirty guests to help her celebrate and most of those guests were close relatives. Julie and her husband Flynn had a large family with four children of their own and six grandchildren to date, we were told their house was always the family hub and so it made sense to host the party there. The only downside to this was the fact that with so many guests there would be no room indoors for us to cater however as we told Julie this is no problem for Hog Roast Bodmin as our capable catering team can cook in any and all conditions both indoors and out. All we would need is our trusty Hog Roast Bodmin machine and our gazebo incase the heavens decided to open, and we were all set to prepare a hog roast to remember.
As the guests arrived, Flynn was busy being a charming host making sure everyone’s glasses were kept topped up and that Julie didn’t have to lift a finger – it was her birthday after all! As people passed on their birthday wishes and gifts, we put the final touches on our Hog Roast Bodmin. As we carved the succulent meat it struggled to hold its delicate shape due to being cooked low and slow for several hours. We served the meat on our own crockery with high quality napkins and informed guests to help themselves to the freshly baked rolls and sweet applesauce, sage and onion stuffing and crispy crackling that would combine to make the perfect hog roast roll!
Happy Birthday again Julie, we’re privileged to have been able to join you on such a special evening!
