Hog Roast Truro often caters weddings in beautiful locations but just recently, we were more than impressed with the Cornish wedding venue of Trevella Manor. Fairly local to us, being just on the rural outskirts of Truro itself, Trevella Manor is a listed Georgian manor house on a lovely estate that’s filled with gardens and woodland. It’s a really magical countryside setting and an ideal place for a romantic marriage and celebration with friends and family and for that, you also need some delicious, homemade food cooked by professionals, and that’s where Hog Roast Truro comes in!
Trevella Garden Weddings is the wedding services at Trevella Manor and they booked us in to provide the bride and groom and their 100 guests with our scrumptious, famous pigs in buns and an alternative meal of veggie skewers for the vegetarian guests. We have plenty of options to choose from here at Hog Roast Truro, so guests with dietary needs or those who prefer other dishes will always be well-fed as long as we know in advance of an event. Regardless of diet or taste, we go the extra mile to cook the food that you and your guests will love. The hog itself would be lovingly prepared on-site, roasted for several hours as we watched over it, and then carved after a short rest. We then stuff bits of the juicy pork and crispy crackling inside fresh bread rolls or wraps, add our yummy apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing – both homemade – and they’re ready for the guests to enjoy.
When we arrived at Trevella Manor, we saw tree ferns on the driveway, a cobbled granite courtyard with its own well, amazing, giant tipis on the lawn (which can be decorated as a bride and groom wishes), acres of gardens, a bluebell wood, and paddocks with unspoilt country views. It was simply stunning and a fantastic backdrop for wedding photos. Once we’d carved the hog and filled trays with the meat and crackling and the veggie kebabs were done to perfection too, it was time to serve the bride and groom and their guests some of our lovely food.
