When good food meets a great cause, something truly special happens and that’s exactly what we experienced on 17th July at the Air Ambulance Fundraiser in Old Cleeve, Minehead.
With 200 guests gathering at The Lysaght Club, this was more than just a community event it was a celebration of the life-saving work of the Air Ambulance and a chance for everyone to come together in support. The energy was incredible from the moment the first guests arrived, and we at Hog Roast Redruth were honoured to be part of it.
Catering Manager Paul and the team brought their A-game, setting up for a feast that matched the scale and heart of the occasion. Our setup buzzed with anticipation as the unmistakable aroma of our whole roasted pig filled the summer air. Golden crackling, soft bread rolls and wraps, sage and onion stuffing, and our signature apple sauce came together for the kind of hog roast that stops people in their tracks.
But we didn’t stop at pork. We were proud to serve our homemade vegan pulled jackfruit a smoky BBQ-style dish steeped in rich hickory sauce and topped with crunchy slaw, served in a bun. It’s a firm favourite that proves meat-free doesn’t mean missing out.
Everything was served with care onto disposable plates and paired with quality napkins, keeping things simple, sustainable, and stress-free for all involved.
More than just a meal, this was a chance for people to relax, chat, and connect while showing their support. It’s these kinds of events that remind us why we love what we do—because behind every service is a story, a cause, and a community.
A massive thank-you to the organisers, volunteers, and attendees who made the evening one to remember. And to the heroes at the Air Ambulance—your work inspires us, and we were proud to fuel the fun for your fundraiser.
