Earlier this summer, Hog Roast Penryn was contacted by a local community centre to arrange catering for their end-of-summer event. The centre hosts all kinds of events throughout summer to keep children occupied during the holidays, with a big end-of-summer event to prepare for going back to school. The event is set to include a bouncy castle, face painting, football games, and plenty of great food. Our catering manager Paul will be serving our delicious Gourmet BBQ menu, which is the perfect menu for the occasion. It includes plenty of family-friendly dishes and more than enough to go around!
When the day of the party came, the Hog Roast Penryn team arrived at the community centre in the morning and set up our catering station on the neighbouring field. We began by preparing the main dishes, which included succulent pork sausages, veggie sausages, halloumi and vegetable skewers, juicy British beef burgers, marinated chicken kebabs, and BBQ spareribs. The mains were served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also on offer. Additionally, we served homemade chips, sweet potato fries, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, and a selection of fresh salad dishes. Our menu was served buffet style, which was ideal for letting the customers choose their perfect lunch from what we had to offer. The menu was a great addition to the party and the event was a big success with all of the guests!
