This September, Hog Roast Bodmin will be providing a truly special dining experience for a wonderful couple marking their 50th wedding anniversary. With Catering Managers Rob, James, and Harry leading the team, 77 guests will be gathering at The One For All Lanivet Parish Community Centre in Bodmin on the 6th of September 2025 to celebrate an incredible milestone surrounded by family and friends.
To honour such a memorable occasion, nothing less than a traditional hog roast will do. A whole roasted pig, cooked slowly until the meat is tender and the crackling golden and crisp, will take centre stage. Guests will enjoy it served with classic accompaniments – homemade apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing – all tucked into soft bread rolls and wraps, with gluten free options available so everyone can join in the feast.
To complete the spread, the menu includes fresh sides that perfectly balance the rich roast flavours. A mixed salad bursting with seasonal colour and crisp textures will sit alongside our gourmet coleslaw, freshly prepared to bring a creamy, crunchy bite to every plate. Everything will be served buffet-style onto quality wooden crockery and cutlery, making it relaxed yet elegant – ideal for an evening of celebration.
There’s something extra special about bringing people together over food, and for a 50th anniversary, it’s all about creating those warm, unforgettable moments. Whether it’s laughter over a plate piled high with succulent pork and crackling, or the joy of raising a glass with loved ones, Hog Roast Bodmin is proud to be part of such a meaningful occasion.
Rob, James, and Harry, along with the whole team, are looking forward to making this golden anniversary every bit as golden as the hog roast crackling itself. With fantastic food, a welcoming atmosphere, and decades of love to celebrate, it promises to be a night that everyone in Lanivet will remember for years to come.
