When Hog Roast Torpoint caters your event, it’s with style and attention to detail, as we love to go the extra mile to please our customers and their guests. Regardless of the type of occasion we’re catering, whether it’s a birthday celebration, engagement or anniversary party, a corporate function or something else, you get the same high level of service and you’re served the same great quality food that’s homemade using locally-sourced ingredients. We have options for every budget and that includes hog and spit roasts, as well as additional or alternative dishes.
Hog Roast Torpoint recently catered Jason and Emily’s wedding, at the beautiful cliff-top Polhawn Fort in Rame Head in Torpoint itself. This romantic venue is in an amazing coastal position, so it has sweeping views and is a wonderful place to create wedding day memories. The Fort sleeps 24 and it’s actually dog-friendly, too, if you fancy your pooch at your own wedding. Both inside and outside the Fort it is stunning and magical, and there’s even exclusive access to Polhawn Cove, a secluded beach down below. You can rent out the whole of the Fort and either hire the staff there at an extra cost or bring along others you’ve hired yourself – such as Hog Roast Torpoint to provide a sumptuous banquet.
For Jason and Emily’s wedding food, we were asked to first of all serve canapés, such as smoked salmon on fresh brown bread, which we would arrange on black slates. The 20 guests would then enjoy antipasti platters and joints of pork and chicken as well as garden-fresh salad dishes and our homemade coleslaw. With the pork, we serve crunchy pieces of crackling, carved off the meat once done, and our sage and onion stuffing, as well as our homemade apple sauce. For the latter and the condiments, we like to add them to heart-shaped bowls, as it’s a lovely finishing touch for a truly special event like your wedding day. On the day of the wedding, our team arrived in plenty of time before service, and got to work preparing a delicious wedding buffet that almost looked too good to eat.
