Cornwall, known as the UK’s wedding capital, hosts over 3,000 weddings annually, attracting couples with its stunning coastlines, golden sandy beaches, serene coves, and ancient castles that set the stage for unforgettable celebrations.
One couple, Alison and Bradley, travelled all the way from Essex to bring their dream of having a Cornish wedding to life. Their celebrations unfolded at a restored milking barn that radiated magic and romance at every turn. With views overlooking Portheras Cove, the light, airy barn set a dreamy atmosphere as the pair exchanged vows surrounded by 50 of their closest friends and family.
At Hog Roast Falmouth, weddings are our passion, and helping couples like Alison and Bradley realise their dreams is what we do best. So, when they chose us to cater for their big day, we were overjoyed!
As they ventured outside to kickstart the celebrations, Hog Roast Falmouth was ready to wow with our sumptuous menu. We started things off with a round of welcome drinks and a dazzling array of canapés: pan-seared fillet of beef, gourmet sausages, smoked Scottish salmon, mini quiches, and a delightful Indian selection. It was the perfect prelude for the feast to come!
After some heartfelt speeches, it was time to unveil the banquet they had all been waiting for. Our classic hog roast, complete with savoury stuffing, crispy crackling, and sweet applesauce, took centre stage. For those craving a traditional twist, we offered whole-roasted turkey with cranberry sauce. And for the meat-free guests, we served up colourful grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs. Accompanying the mains were a variety of salads, creamy coleslaw, and decadent dauphinoise potatoes. And for the grand finale? Sticky toffee pudding and luscious cheesecakes that had everyone swooning!
As day turned into night, the festivities continued with an additional 100 guests joining for evening celebrations. Hog Roast Falmouth stepped up to the plate once more, treating guests to a delectable evening buffet featuring hot bacon and sausage barms, served with a variety of sauces to keep the energy high on the dance floor.
Alison and Bradley’s Cornish wedding was a testament to love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. We at Hog Roast Falmouth were proud to play a part in their special day, ensuring that every dish served reflected the joy and celebration of their union.
