The first few weeks of January can be difficult for many people. With Christmas and New Year celebrations officially over for another year, it’s easy to find ourselves struggling to return to business as usual as we eagerly await an end to the seemingly endless, dreary winter weather. But things don’t have to be doom and gloom, and Hog Roast Penzance has the perfect solution that is sure to lift your spirits and change your opinions on the post-Christmas period – once and for all! Thanks to our soul-nourishing hog roast menus, we’re pleased to say that kicking the aptly named ‘January Blues’ to the kerb couldn’t be easier…
After finding himself in desperate need of a pick-me-up, one of our regular clients, Harry got in touch with Hog Roast Penzance to arrange an unforgettable evening of drool-worthy food for 35 of his closest friends and family members to enjoy. As a self-confessed foodie, the client was looking for the buffet to be bursting with flavour, and with the help of our resident catering manager, it was decided that our southern slow roast menu would be perfect for the occasion. In addition to the classic American-inspired dishes, the client also chose to include some of our more popular meat-free alternatives to ensure that everyone would feel catered for and included at the intimate event.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Penzance team arrived a few hours early to give themselves enough time to prepare the afternoon feast before the arrival of Harry’s guests. After pitching the catering gazebo in the back garden and setting up the buffet tables, they got straight to work on preparing the food. Starting with the meats which had been pre-marinated in our secret recipe rubs, the catering crew effortlessly cooked up a mouth-watering spread of BBQ pork butt, Texan 24 hour beef brisket and fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs which were complemented by the refreshing side options of Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, buttery corn cobbettes and freshly-tossed green-leaf salad.
Harry and his guests were equally impressed by the flavoursome spread that had been presented to them and as the party raged on, they excitedly returned for extra helpings of the delicious food.
