With a Hog Roast Widegates spectacle on your big day, you can surprise and impress your guests, then sit back and enjoy the delicious food together with them. Let us do the hard work for you, from the moment you ask us for a quote, to the time when we are discreetly clearing away after the event.
When Dermot and Aggie contacted us to ask about a winter warmer Hog Roast Widegates for their special day, they already knew that their guests would love the meat, just like they had themselves when we catered a party they attended last summer. The difference was, they had munched away on our hog roast rolls then, but preferred to ask us for a warming meal of meat, veg, potatoes and gravy for their wintry wedding reception. We knew they would be just as happy with this choice, though, especially at this chilly time of year when our winter warmer acts as a real comfort food.
Fast forward to yesterday, and we had a fairly simple but tasty wedding feast to prepare. In addition to the slow-roasted hog (a medium-sized beast to feed the 50 guests with seconds or more), Dermot and Aggie asked us for trays of garlic-infused parsnips, carrots, and green beans, sweet potatoes with rosemary and a pile of jacket potatoes. We can cook all the meat, potatoes and vegetables all together in one of our versatile hog roasting machines, with the meat cooking at the top and everything else below. The starter of tomato and basil soup would be served before the roast, and then the wedding cake and chocolate-laden profiteroles would be served afterwards.
At the end of the evening, when we were discreetly clearing everything away after happily serving dozens of happy guests, Aggie thanked us for making her day truly scrumptious, let us know she was expecting and booked us in for her baby shower!
