When Hog Roast Saltash caters your party or event, you can be sure of gorgeous food prepared, cooked and served by caring professionals, and at an affordable price, too. We are used to providing the food for all kinds of functions, including wedding receptions, birthday celebrations, christenings and so much more, and we are often asked to cater corporate events, too.
Just recently, we were asked to cook for 120 people at Construction Materials Online, at Burrington Business Park in Plymouth. Construction Materials Online is a leading online supplier of construction materials, and more than 70 staff moved into the Burrington Business Park premises this summer. For this particular mid-afternoon event, Naomi asked us to cook our Menu 1 of succulent pigs in buns and also provide a vegetarian option of veggie skewers. Here at Hog Roast Saltash, we love to offer additional and alternative options, so that all our customers and their guests are well-fed. Whether you want additional meat, sides or even homemade desserts, or several courses to fill everyone up, or if you need special diets catering, we will work with you to ensure that this becomes a reality.
On the day of the Construction Materials Online event, our Catering Manager Charlie and his team arrived hours before the food service would start. To make our delicious pigs in buns, we first lovingly prepare the meat at your venue, by scoring all over and smothering in water and salt, and then set the temperature low on the hog roast machine and watch over as it roasts away. Once the meat has rested a short while, it’s time to carve off the crackling and slice up the juicy slivers of meat, add to trays and then cram bits of both into fresh bread rolls and wraps. However, it doesn’t end there! We then add our tangy apple sauce and tasty sage and onion stuffing, which are both our own homemade delights, and then let you add your choice of condiments before devouring with relish.
By 2pm, Hog Roast Saltash had grilled the halloumi and vegetable skewers and cooked the meat perfectly, and we spent the next couple of hours satisfying the guests’ hunger.
