Here in the UK, the weather has been glorious recently, with many places having experienced temperatures of almost 20 degrees Celsius on some days, which, as we all know, is almost unheard of for March! So, this unexpected heatwave has been a much welcome surprise, especially for those who have hosted events in the last few weeks. And the warm rays have certainly boosted the atmosphere of all of the early springtime parties that Hog Roast Breage has catered for lately and provided the perfect setting for some great snapshots, too.
Among the events lucky enough to be soaked in sunshine, was the wedding of Michelle and Stuart, whose prayers for good weather definitely came through! Months prior to their big day, the lovebirds had taken a leap of faith and picked a beautiful venue for their wedding, situated along the Cornwall coast.
Not knowing what the forecast would have in store when the couple first placed their booking with Hog Roast Breage, our catering manager, Paul, had recommended having a marquee as a backup plan for the guests to shield themselves in the event of rain. The couple had agreed, but in the end, it wasn’t at all necessary.
The sun was beating down on Cornwall hard on the day of Michelle and Stuart’s wedding, and the 200-and-something guests who attended the celebration were in great spirits as they watched the pair tie the knot against a backdrop of golden sands and deep blue waters. Meanwhile, further down the beach, Hog Roast Breage’s team busily prepared the custom BBQ buffet for the reception, which filled the air with mouth-watering fragrances.
The guests and newlyweds were very pleased that the food was ready right on time, and as they settled in at the reception spot, Hog Roast Breage served up handmade British beef burgers, gourmet sausages, chicken kebabs, sticky spareribs that had been marinated in a homemade barbeque sauce and a vegan-friendly option of BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls. To accompany the mains, we served coleslaw, mixed fries, butter-dripping corn cobettes, bold and colourful salads and bowls of freshly sliced fruit.
Everyone had an amazing time, and Hog Roast Breage’s involvement made the experience even better, especially for Michelle and Stuart who felt calm knowing Paul had everything under control.
