Doing a hog roast in Lostwithiel has this year become so very popular and we have seen such an increase in orders we think it’s a mixture of sunshine and our ever growing popularity! And as usual we were again out doing what we love hog roasting. Hoag roast had been asked to cater for a wedding and we adore a good wedding the reception was held in a stately home and cooking for five hundred. We were given a lovely welcome as we arrived and we began by firstly putting the plump pig and succulent chickens onto cook delicious meat so mouth-watering and full of goodness and with the meat we made tantalizing butter nut squash, creamy mashed potatoes, julienne carrots and sweet and juicy peas with a thick meaty gravy and some crackling and moist stuffing. A delicious main course for starters it was soup home made wit a selection to choose from creamy chicken, wild mushroom, vegetable and beef served with croutons and desert was a wonderful summer berry salad served with cream all ready as the bride and groom arrived looking ever so dashing! Followed by the bridal party and guests they all took to their seats ready to sample some hog roast Lostwithiel pork, I listened intently as the speeches were read and were ever so sweet then we began to serve the food and course after course was greatly received and we had a good chat with the guests and we made sure everyone had a full glass very important too! after the meal we enjoyed listening to the band and enjoyed watching the little bridesmaids and Paige boys dance they were ever so cute and really made our day! After the food we cleaned down our machines out side which really doesn’t take long the machines are easy clean and we always make sure they are immaculate after each use, as we loaded the van we thought of bed as it had a long day and we couldn’t wait to get a lie in the next day which is rare on a Sunday for us as our booking wasn’t until the evening, felt like heaven!
