The weekend was ever so mild somewhat unusual for this time of year, we were getting ready to get out our long johns and woolly jumpers but couldn’t believe that we were still wearing our tee shirts to cater for a hog roast in Cornwall. The sun shone through the window of the van as we headed west at the weekend to cater for a party, and it was only going to be a small gathering but small or large it’s all the same just as important we were catering in the gentleman’s home for thirty family members and asked if we could make a three course meal, when we arrived the gentleman showed us into his kitchen and it was huge he said that he was nipping out and told us that he would be arriving back with his guests of a few hours time we told him to go and have fun whilst we begin getting his hog roast Cornwall ready. The first job was getting the machine on then we placed the meat on to cook chicken and lamb were the meats as the meats cooked we prepared the vegetables roast potatoes in a duck fat, creamy buttery mash, sweet peas and cauliflower with thick gravy and for dessert berry trifle the gentleman had laid the table and it was all set beautiful we made no mess of his kitchen as we made everything on the machine and we always keep the area nice and clean the meats were all cooking nicely as we looked at the time and right on queue the cars pulled up and the gentleman and his guests had arrived they all gasped as they entered the room and witnessed the meats we like the guests to arrive and see the meat in all its glory just before we serve, as the guests took to their seats we began to carve and serve the plates looked amazing and the guests all commented as they ate all singing our praises! After main we served the dessert and that went down well too such a lovely cosy gathering we disappeared in the back ground as the guests ate and you wouldn’t even know we were there as discrete as ever…
