18th Birthday Celebrations With A Hog Roast In Cardinham!

Saturday I was at Bodmin Airfield providing a hog roast in Cardinham for Chris’ 18th Birthday Celebrations. My other van and team were doing a lamb roast and pig roast with venison steaks and burgers at Newquay catering for a wedding.

We slowly cooked the pig for 10 hours so when ready to be served it fell apart in the tray , meat being as tender and succulent and tasty as it comes!!! With the homemade sage and onion stuffing made we were ready to serve at 6:30 as requested as the young guest had already had a few beers and wine and were building up an appetite.

The selection of floured, crusty, tiger, wholemeal, cheese topped and scotch rolls were sliced and with the sauces at the ready we began to cut the crispy crackling into edible size pieces and carved the pig. The weather was kind to us but with some cloud in the sky and slight overcast we had the gazebo covering  up the hog roast Cardinham just in case the rain decided to arrive. After everyone had a roll, several came up for a second which was good as there was plenty of pork left to serve with even a platter and some spare rolls left for later.

Once all had been served we gathered up all the rubbish and packed away the machine into the van and left leaving the young party to continue drinking and partying, which by now was being consumed at an impressive speed!!!!!!! Everyone had a great time and we look forward to coming back for Chris’s 21st .
