In an area with strong literary links, a group of local writers who hope to be the next generation of literary talent, organise a festival to showcase the work of their home-grown writers as well as using it as a great opportunity to meet lots of like-minded people. With the festival growing in popularity year on year, they found themselves a bit overstretched when it came to the catering the year before as a lot more people attended than anticipated. Not wanting to make the same mistake, the group organising the event decided they needed outside help and after reading all about Hog Roast Northam’s hog roasting prowess and commitment to making everything from scratch on-site using the finest locally sourced produce available, they realised we would be the ideal catering choice for their event!
We arrived at the venue in the early hours of the morning and whilst stalls and displays were being set up around us, the Hog Roast Northam team were also hard at work making sure our ethically-reared pork was perfectly cooked whilst our skilled catering assistant freshly prepared the grilled veggie skewers for the meat and dairy-free option, along with jacket wedges, mac n cheese, a crispy green salad and vegan friendly coleslaw!
When the event got underway, we were ready for action, with our succulent meat carved and ready to be served and the rest of our varied buffets looking as good as it tasted! We received a lot of orders throughout the day as the attendees and those running the event couldn’t help but gravitate towards our serving table in between browsing the stalls and listening to the various talks that were going on!
Everyone enjoyed our food enormously and we received great feedback about the quality and choice that we offered, with several vegan diners being very pleasantly surprised that a hog roast catering company could accommodate their needs so effectively!
It was a busy and inspiring event for all involved and with the catering left in Hog Roast Northam’s very capable hands, there was no danger of anyone going hungry this year!
