The wedding trend is changing, gone are the big affairs with hundreds of guests and quieter, much more intimate settings are in. Hog Roast Crantock’s latest clients were two blushing brides who wanted a buffet fit for royalty.
The clients were very aware of sticking to the COVID safety measures however, so rather than having the buffet prepared at the venue by a Catering Manager from Hog Roast Crantock, they instead opted to have their buffet delivered. The delicious dishes were still prepared from scratch by hand in the hours leading up to the 3pm delivery time, but the food was created at the Hog Roast Crantock’s kitchens and dropped off at the marquee venue.
The happy couple worked closely with the team to put together a buffet menu that would enchant their guests and have something for everyone. Their bespoke wedding catering package also included the provision of high quality disposable crockery and cutlery for their wedding celebration.
The platters of food were cooked to perfection and then packed into large foil trays for the journey to the party venue. The buffet included the tasty delights such as Thai Chicken Kebabs and Meaty Marinated Spare ribs, but there was also a tasty vegetarian alternative available. Other dishes at the luxurious buffet included: a selection of piping hot seasonal vegetables and roasted new potatoes in rosemary and garlic. Finishing off the buffet was a basket of crusty bread rolls and an assortment of sauces for the guests to enjoy.
When the buffet arrived at the marquee for 3pm the Catering Manager set up the serving trays on a table that had been left empty just for the buffet. As soon as the food had been set up on the serving table the team left the venue.
The brides and their 28 guests tucked straight into the buffet and it was well enjoyed. The clients were delighted at tasty the buffet was and thanked the team for their hard work in producing and delivering the buffet to their wedding reception.
