Come Rain Or Shine, Hog Roast Mousehole Won’t Let You Down

The weather here in Cornwall has been pretty miserable as of late. Between the bitter cold breezes, heavy rain and several centimetres of snowfall, it would be safe to say that spring hasn’t exactly brought the BBQ weather we’d spent all of winter wishing for. But if you thought that was going to stop Hog Roast Mousehole from pulling off some incredible food services recently, well, then think again!

While we’d love to be helping our customers and clients make memories in the great outdoors, preferably under blue skies and golden sun rays, we’re not limited to cooking outdoors exclusively, which is one of many elements that set us apart from a lot of our competitors. This means we can offer incredible food services, whatever the weather!

For Sandy, this was great news, as he had hired us to take care of his and his wife Molly’s 40th wedding anniversary. Before the bad weather hit, the pair hoped to enjoy their celebration on the beach, but when things took a turn, they moved the party indoors to a venue with plenty of floor-to-ceiling windows for guests to look out onto the coast. The couple’s only concern was the catering.

Hog Roast Mousehole’s catering manager, Paul, did his own research into the venue, and, after discovering that the space offered plenty of ventilation for our hog roasting machine, he informed the pair that we would be able to cook inside without any trouble. Sandy and Molly were so glad to hear this, and they could hardly wait for the day of the party, which went ahead the following weekend.

Hog Roast Mousehole Hog Roast Mousehole arrived at the venue long before the couple, and their 140 guests did, and using every second to their advantage, they expertly rustled up a salivating Alfresco Menu for the group. When the guests arrived, they discovered a drinks buffet at the entrance and that each dining table was centred by an Italian charcuterie board for them to help themselves.

The main meal, which included a complete hog roast with side salads and mixed fries, was served an hour later, which gave the remaining guests plenty of time to arrive and the couple the chance to thank everyone for their attendance. This was followed by individual cheesecakes or profiteroles with a slice of the couple’s anniversary cake.
