We have had a very busy week with a hog roast in Helston for 350 people at RNAS Culdrose. It was a lunch time party in one of the large hangars which meant no worries about the October weather but we need not have worried as it was a lovely sunny autumn day. We where up and on it bright and early with two whole pigs to spit roast and have ready to eat by 12 noon so we needed to be on site cooking by 6am. Working with the MOD is always trouble free and everything you need is always on hand. We soon had the pigs cooking and the salads prepped. We spent a pleasant morning watching the helicopters coming and going then it was down to the business end of things and serving lunch for 350 hungry naval personnel. The hog roast Helston went down a storm and we where very popular which is always good we like our customers to really get stuck into the food and eat it all up. What little was left we made up into sandwiches for an afternoon snack then it was load up and back to base. Another happy customer and another job well done.
