Hog Roast White Cross Caters for Local Cricket Team

Spring is the time when everything starts anew and comes back to life after the seemingly endless, bleak winter months. The arrival of warmer weather and longer days always cheers everyone up, and for some people the cheeriest thing of all, is the start of the new cricket season! This was certainly true for the local cricket team who we were hired by recently to help them start the new season with a bang! Instead of sticking to their usual routine of following their first practice session of the new season with a meal in their local pub, the keen cricketers felt it was time for a change and wanted to make the most of being back in their beloved cricket club by hosting their gathering there, but they didn’t want a bog standard- pre-made buffet. At first the team were a bit stumped as to what they could do, but luckily for them, their quest to find a local catering company who could produce fresh food on-site led them straight to Hog Roast White Cross! The team were over the moon when we informed that we always bring everything we need with us, we would prepare everything at the cricket club and can cook right in the heart of the action without interrupting the order of play! They all said they were looking forward to the new season even more now they had found the perfect caterer for their opening training session!

As keen as they all were to get back to the crease, Hog Roast White Cross arrived at the cricket club before any of the team, so we could get begin the delicate process of cooking Salads4the hog roast. It may not take as long as a test match, but we always cook the pork slowly over several hours to ensure succulent and flavoursome results. We put the finishing touches to the buffet as the eager team were busy getting their brand new cricket whites dirty. The team captain was a bit red-faced about being caught out for a duck, especially when his team mates started jeering, but they all soon forgot about what had happened on the pitch because they were so bowled over by Hog Roast White Cross’s food!
